Why is National Government Services transitioning to Wellpoint Federal?

Together, they define who we are: a proven federal partner, grounded in expertise and advancing the future of government healthcare solutions as part of Elevance Health.

Will existing relationships or points of contact change?

No, your existing contacts remain the same. There are no changes to leadership, teams, and services. All operations continue uninterrupted.

What is happening on April 1, 2026?

Beginning April 1, 2026, National Government Services will operate under the name Wellpoint Federal. This change aligns NGS more closely with the Wellpoint and Elevance Health federal brand strategy. Our mission, contracts, and day-to-day operations continue uninterrupted.

Is this a merger or acquisition?
This is not a merger or acquisition. This is a brand alignment/rebrand.
Will our contracts or customers be impacted?
No disruption to contracts or customer service is expected. Together, we will work to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining uninterrupted service and operational excellence for our customers, providers, beneficiaries and our teams. Services will continue seamlessly under the Wellpoint Federal name.
Have the mission or values changed?
No. Our mission, values, and commitment to serving federal programs remain unchanged. The name change reflects alignment, not a shift in purpose.
